Veterinarian İbrahim Aktaş killed in Konya shooting

İbrahim Aktaş, a 33-year-old veterinarian and former Akşehir Youth Branch President of the İYİ Party, was killed in a shooting at a coffeehouse in the Akşehir district of Konya. Aktaş, who worked at an animal hospital in Kocaeli, had returned to his hometown to visit his family when the incident occurred.

The shooting reportedly stemmed from a dispute between the coffeehouse owner, F. Ş., and a suspect identified as Hasan Hüseyin Ş. During the altercation, Hasan Hüseyin Ş. opened fire with a shotgun. Aktaş was struck by the pellets and died at the scene, while another customer, Musa Yaşar, was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police apprehended the suspect following the attack. Following the news of his death, İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu issued a condolence message on social media, praising Aktaş's contributions to the party.
