Vezirköprü, Turkey Holds Hafız Graduation Ceremony for 23 Students

In the Vezirköprü district of Samsun Province, Turkey, a ceremony was held at Köprülü Mehmet Paşa Mosque to mark the completion of Qur'an memorization training for 23 students. The event opened with a Qur'an recitation by Kurra Hafız and Istanbul Eyüp Sultan Mosque muezzin Hasan Tok, followed by speeches from Vezirköprü District Mufti Naci Yalçınkaya, Samsun Provincial Mufti Seyfullah Çakır, and Diyanet Human Resources Director Sinan Kazancı.

Yalçınkaya noted that the male Hafız course has operated since 1978 and moved to a new building in 2016, serving about 200 students across male and female courses. Çakır highlighted that Vezirköprü has become a key centre for Hafız training in Samsun, where a total of 1,219 students are currently engaged in such programmes. The ceremony concluded with a collective prayer and the presentation of gifts to the newly certified Hafızes.
