Viaim launches OpenNote and RecDot 2 AI earbuds with real‑time transcription
Viaim introduced two AI‑powered earbuds – the Open‑Ear OpenNote and the In‑Ear RecDot 2 – designed for meetings, learning and everyday use. Both models record audio, provide AI transcription and generate meeting summaries, key‑point lists and mind‑maps. They support real‑time translation in up to 78 languages and offer 600 free transcription minutes per month via the viaim app.
OpenNote features four microphones, active and call‑noise reduction, IP55 water resistance, Bluetooth 5.3 with dual‑device pairing and up to 19 hours of playback (53 hours with its charging case). RecDot 2 adds a one‑touch FlashRecord button, ANC, IPX5 rating, Bluetooth 5.2, up to 9 hours of use (36 hours with case) and wireless charging. A product review highlighted balanced sound, solid battery life and effective AI features, but noted average noise cancellation, a plasticky build and weaker bass response.
The earbuds are marketed globally, with initial coverage in the United Arab Emirates.
