Viaplay announces autumn lineup including Outlander prequel

Viaplay has announced its autumn lineup, headlined by the return of the Outlander prequel series, ‘Outlander: Blood of My Blood’. The second season continues to explore the ancestral love stories of the Outlander universe, focusing on the romance between Brian Fraser and Ellen MacKenzie amidst the 1715 Jacobite Rising, as well as the story of Henry Beauchamp and Julia Moriston.

The streaming platform is also introducing several new crime dramas. ‘Memory of a Killer’, starring Patrick Dempsey as an assassin battling early-onset Alzheimer’s, is scheduled for an October 8 premiere. ‘Long Bright River’, featuring Amanda Seyfried as a Philadelphia police officer investigating the opioid crisis and her sister's disappearance, will debut on October 29. Additionally, the Swedish series ‘Maffia’, which depicts the rise of organized crime in 1990s Sweden, is set to premiere in November.
