Brazil professional education sees 24% growth in 2025

Brazil is seeing a significant rise in professional and technical education, with vocational enrollments increasing by 24% in 2025, reaching 3.18 million students according to Inep. This growth is supported by various initiatives aimed at bridging the gap between education and the labor market.

Several large-scale opportunities are currently available across the country. The Pronatec program is offering over 1,500 vacancies in sustainability and bioeconomy sectors. Senai is providing free technical courses for women in Campo Grande and specialized training in Rio de Janeiro through Firjan SENAI. Additionally, the Petrobras Autonomia e Renda program is offering free qualification courses in the oil and gas sector with monthly stipends.

In the corporate sector, multiple trainee programs have been announced. Vibra is recruiting 20 trainees for its Rio de Janeiro operations with a monthly stipend of R$ 8,500. Other organizations, including Ensina Brasil, Isa Energia, and PepsiCo, have also opened applications for trainee roles with varying compensation and locations. Meanwhile, the City of Curitiba has announced a public civil service exam offering 348 positions for medium and higher education levels.
