Vicenza expands year‑round park activities and defibrillator network to improve public safety
Fratelli d’Italia Vicenza presented the "Vicenza Parchi Vivi" project on 31 July 2026, proposing a permanent calendar of free sports events, dog‑training sessions and volunteer‑led activities in the city’s most critical parks. The plan aims to increase daily use of public spaces, boost safety, social interaction and quality of life, with coordination between the municipality and local associations.
The municipality also signed a protocol of understanding with Croce Verde Vicenza and Fondazione San Bortolo to expand and maintain a city‑wide network of external defibrillators under the "Vicenza Città Cardioprotetta" initiative. Mayor Giacomo Possamai said the agreement “guarantees the constant maintenance of defibrillators, essential tools to save lives,” and the new online map shows the exact locations of devices in public and private spaces, improving rapid access in emergencies.
