Vicenza Tav construction site air monitoring shows no asbestos

Air quality monitoring conducted by Arpav at the Tav high-speed rail construction site in Vicenza has shown no presence of asbestos fibers or signs of asbestos particle dispersion in the atmosphere. The results come after three samples were taken in the Viale Verona area following the discovery of eternit and asbestos at the site.

Despite the reassuring data, Vicenza's Environment Councilor, Sara Baldinato, stated that authorities will not lower their guard. The construction site remains under seizure pending the complete remediation, removal, and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with the law. The municipality continues to collaborate with Arpav, the local health authority (Aulss), and the Public Prosecutor's Office, which is conducting investigations into the matter.
