Vico Equense culinary traditions showcased at SIAL Paris

The Italian town of Vico Equense is participating in the SIAL international food exhibition in Paris to promote its local gastronomic heritage. The showcase features two primary local specialties: ‘Pizza di Vico’ and ‘Arte Casearia di Vico’ (dairy art), both of which hold the ‘Denominazione Comunale’ (Municipal Designation) to protect and value products tied to the area's identity.

Represented by local associations and supported by municipal institutions, the initiative aims to transform international visibility into economic value and new professional relationships. Mayor Giuseppe Aiello emphasized the importance of networking and presenting these diverse excellences as a unified territorial identity. Michele Cuomo, president of the Associazione Pizza a Vico, noted that the event serves as a prestigious platform to share the history, craftsmanship, and passion of the region's artisans with a global audience through tastings and cultural exchange.
