Victor de Aldama testifies again in secret Audiencia Nacional hearing on PSOE cash payments

Victor de Aldama, a commissionaire who was previously sentenced for the mask scandal, appeared again before Spain's Audiencia Nacional in a secret session of the "Koldo" case. The investigation examines cash reimbursements to the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) from 2017‑2024 for possible money‑laundering and irregular financing.

The hearing, presided over by judge Ismael Moreno, focused on alleged cash payments to former transport minister José Luis Ábalos and his former aide Koldo García. Aldama had earlier handed a brown envelope purportedly from Venezuela’s state oil company PDVSA, claiming it was delivered by then‑vice‑president Delcy Rodríguez, now president of Venezuela. Rodríguez has denied the allegation and warned of legal action.

The proceedings remain under secrecy, and Aldama declined to comment to journalists after the testimony. The probe could have implications for the PSOE and its leadership.
