Victoria to host 12th annual Wicked Victoria Halloween event

The 12th annual Thrifty Foods Wicked Victoria Halloween celebration is scheduled for Sunday, October 25, in downtown Victoria. Hosted by the Greater Victoria Festival Society, the free, family-friendly event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Government Street will be closed between Yates Street and Broughton Street, and festivities will also include Bastion Square. The event features live music, dance performances, costumed characters, local vendors, and trick-or-treating. Additional activities include Halloween storytelling at Munro’s Books and a kids’ zone with face painting and crafts.

Victoria Police have warned of significant traffic disruptions and road closures from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes. Police officers, reserve constables, and volunteers will be on-site to manage traffic and pedestrian safety.
