Victoria's 100 Essential Restaurants list released by The Age Good Food Guide

The Age Good Food Guide has released its list of 100 Essential Restaurants for 2027, highlighting the diverse culinary landscape in Victoria. The selection includes a variety of establishments, ranging from long-standing institutions to new openings, covering diverse cuisines such as Thai-spiced charcoal chicken, Japanese, Bangalorean, Korean, Mexican, and French-Chinese.

The list was compiled by 40 reviewers who visited and evaluated hundreds of restaurants to handpick the final 100. According to editors Emma Breheny and Frank Sweet, the chosen restaurants represent a distillation of the current dining scene in the state, regardless of whether they hold formal accolades or are located in major cities or smaller suburbs.
