Vienna expands culinary scene with new openings

New gastronomic venues are opening in Vienna. Patricia Pölzl has launched the ‘Wiener Würstel Pavillon’ at the Hietzinger Tor on the west side of Schönbrunn Palace. The stand occupies a former mobile gas station pavilion and offers sausages sourced from the Ferdinand Wild butchery, including Frankfurter, Käsekrainer, and Bratwürste.

In the city center, the ‘Sanatorium’ bar concept by Jakob and Albert Trummer is scheduled to open on September 3 at Postgasse 2. The venue will also host a small sushi bar from Martin Ho’s ‘Ay-Vy’ concept and serve as the new location for the ‘X-Club’, which is moving from its long-term site in Wollzeile.
