Vienna hosts Waves Vienna Festival and multiple art fairs

Vienna is hosting several cultural events, including the Waves Vienna Festival and multiple art fairs. From October 1 to 3, 2026, the Waves Vienna Festival will feature a German Showcase. Organized by Musicboard Berlin in cooperation with several regional pop music funding institutions, the showcase will present Berlin-based acts Eilis Frawley and Lyhre to an international audience to support the internationalization of German musicians.

Additionally, three art fairs are launching in Vienna. Parallel Vienna is currently underway at the Otto-Wagner-Areal, featuring 130 exhibitors from eight countries, including artist statements and performances such as Jonas Höschl’s “Polizeipferde für Österreich.” Following this, the Astoria Artshow will open at the Astoria-Garage, and the Galerienfestival will conclude the series of events.
