Vienna police arrest man for riding stolen e-moped
Police in Vienna arrested a 30-year-old man following the theft of an e-moped. The incident was detected in the Favoriten district around 1:45 AM on August 12, when officers noticed a driver operating a vehicle with its hazard lights on and without a helmet.
The individual could not provide documentation for the vehicle or a driver’s license. Investigations revealed the e-moped had been stolen from the Margareten district the previous evening. During a search, officers discovered tools and a small amount of narcotics. A medical officer confirmed the suspect was impaired by narcotics. Following an order from the Vienna Public Prosecutor’s Office, the man was charged without detention.
