Vienna to host street food and market festivals in September
Vienna will host two major culinary and cultural events in early September 2026.
The European Street Food Festival will take place on September 5 and 6 at the outdoor area of the Wiener Stadthalle. The festival features a global variety of dishes, including Mexican, Norwegian, and Indian specialties, as well as American burgers and various vegetarian and vegan options. Entry to the festival is free, though attendees must pay for food and drinks.
On September 4, the city will hold the fifth Long Night of the Vienna Markets. This event spans 17 fixed markets and several weekly markets, including the new Marktraum at Naschmarkt. The program includes live music, dance workshops, and various performances across different locations, such as Klezmer at Karmelitermarkt and Salsa workshops at Naschmarkt. Admission to the cultural programming is also free.
