Vietcombank posts 9.8% asset growth in first half of 2026

Vietcombank reported total assets of nearly VND 2.67 million trillion as of 30 June 2026, a 9.83 % increase from the end of 2025. Credit to priority sectors rose about 8 %, now representing roughly 34 % of total credit, while lending to FDI‑linked enterprises grew over 16 % and SME credit rose 10.4 %.

The bank expanded its digital ecosystem, launching QR cross‑border payments in more than 60 countries through Alipay+, and continued upgrades to its VCB Digibank platform, merchant apps and tax‑integration services. Non‑performing loans stayed below 1 % and the capital adequacy ratio reached 11.14 %. Vietcombank also became one of the first Vietnamese banks to adopt Basel III standards and to implement AI, RPA and end‑to‑end data platforms.

In line with its social responsibility agenda, the bank pledged nearly VND 400 billion for welfare programmes in 2026 and received a Party‑government flag for achievements in the 2020‑2025 period.
