Vietjet launches new Hanoi–Almaty–Prague flight services

Vietnamese carrier Vietjet has launched new flight services connecting Hanoi with Almaty, Kazakhstan, and Prague, Czech Republic, marking the airline’s first entry into the European Union market.

The new network includes twice-weekly flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays using Airbus A330 widebody aircraft. The routes connect Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi with Almaty International Airport and Václav Havel Airport Prague. Passengers can also utilize a direct connection between Prague and Almaty.

Vietjet CEO Nguyen Thanh Son stated the launch is a milestone for the airline’s international growth, aiming to facilitate travel between Europe, Asia, and Australia while supporting trade and investment. Prague Airport officials noted that the new connection is expected to serve over 67,000 passengers in its first year, catering to the Vietnamese community in Czechia and Czech tourists traveling to Southeast Asia.
