Vietnam accelerates AI-driven smart health ecosystem

The Dong Thap provincial health department held a conference with FPT Corporation and Cisco Systems to launch a joint initiative that will convert traditional hospitals into AI‑enabled smart facilities. The partners presented an integrated solution covering modern digital infrastructure, standardized health data, electronic medical records and AI tools for diagnosis and hospital management.

Separately, OmiGroup announced the formation of Omi Health Tech, a new company dedicated to building data platforms and AI solutions for the health sector. The move reflects a broader shift in Vietnam’s HealthTech market toward comprehensive data infrastructure, aligning with national digital transformation programs and future public‑health strategies.
