Vietnam accelerates efforts to resolve land and project bottlenecks

Vietnam is intensifying efforts to resolve land and administrative bottlenecks to unlock economic resources. In Da Nang, City Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang has directed officials to focus on resolving issues related to land, natural resources, and minerals to accelerate project progress. The city aims to reform administrative procedures to reduce costs and time for citizens and businesses, while ensuring that such measures do not legalize past violations or cause loss of state assets.

To date, Da Nang has inspected 98.7% of projects and land areas that were slow to be put into use, completing the processing of 206 long-standing projects.

On a national level, the Vietnamese government reported that nearly 2,700 long-standing projects have been resolved as of late August. The Prime Minister has urged ministries and local authorities to accelerate public investment disbursement and address obstacles in site clearance, raw materials, and investment procedures to prevent the waste of land and capital resources.
