Vietnam accelerates infrastructure and FDI to drive economic growth

Vietnam is undergoing a significant period of infrastructure and economic development aimed at achieving double-digit growth. Major transportation projects are a central focus, including the 100 km Hanoi - Thai Nguyen - Cho Moi expressway, which has an investment exceeding 21,000 billion VND. Additionally, the government is prioritizing the completion of northern expressway networks and the development of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4.

Industrial and foreign direct investment (FDI) remains strong. Thai Nguyen province reported attracting 8 billion USD in FDI during the first half of 2026, driven by high-tech sectors and companies like Samsung. This influx is shifting the industrial real estate market toward higher quality, green standards, and built-to-suit facilities.

In the agricultural and tourism sectors, modernization and regional cooperation are key. Large-scale field models in provinces like Ninh Binh are utilizing drones and mechanization to increase productivity. Meanwhile, tourism in the Mekong Delta has seen success through cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and 13 southern provinces, with travel agencies bringing over 7.5 million visitors to the region. Provinces like Gia Lai are also positioning themselves as logistics hubs to support their massive agricultural export volumes.
