Vietnam accelerates key transport infrastructure projects
Major transport construction sites in Vietnam are accelerating work to meet 2026 targets. In response to a “90-day sprint” emulation movement, investors and contractors are concentrating manpower and machinery to take advantage of favorable weather conditions.
Key projects include the riverside road (Phase 1), spanning from the Dam Nha Mac intersection to Provincial Road 338. This 11.42km, four-lane project has an adjusted total investment of over 2,100 billion VND and aims for completion in 2026 after facing previous challenges with site clearance and soil stability.
Additionally, a riverside road project extending over 40km from Provincial Road 338 to the Dong Trieu area is underway. This project is intended to complete the western regional transport network and enhance connectivity between urban areas, industrial zones, and existing highway systems.
