Vietnam accelerates land data database, volunteers aid in Hanoi and police warn of scams in Quang Ninh

Hundreds of youth volunteers in Hanoi's Phúc Lợi ward are assisting local authorities in a 45‑day campaign to clean and standardize the national land‑record database, guiding residents on paperwork and helping seniors. The Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment has also set up five task forces covering 126 communes and wards to monitor progress, resolve technical and procedural issues, and implement the Prime Minister’s directive to complete the land‑information system.

In Quảng Ninh province, police have issued alerts about fraudsters posing as government officials or land‑registration staff to steal personal data and money by exploiting the same land‑record collection drive. Authorities advise citizens to verify any requests through official channels and to avoid sharing original documents or bank details with unknown parties.

Both efforts are part of the broader government program to modernize Vietnam’s land‑registry information and improve data accuracy nationwide.
