Vietnam accelerates Net Zero agenda across agriculture and industrial sectors
The livestock firm C.P. Vietnam was named among the Top 10 “Green Enterprises – NetZero Action” at the World Energy & Environment Forum in Hanoi. The company highlighted its Net Zero 2050 roadmap, which includes rooftop solar installations covering about 51 MWp, a shift from coal to biomass and biogas, and a circular‑economy programme that has recycled over 1,400 tonnes of plastic waste. Its CEO Pawalit Ua‑Amornwanit said, “Being recognized in the Top 10 motivates us to keep improving ESG governance and emission‑reduction solutions across the feed‑farm‑food chain.”
At the same time, Vietnam’s government has issued a strategic directives to green‑ify its nearly 500 industrial parks. Officials warn that without rapid implementation, the country could lose foreign‑direct investment within five years. Experts cite the need for a unified ecological‑industrial park standard, legal frameworks such as Decree 35 and Circular 05, and incentives for clean‑energy adoption. As TotalEnergies’ director Bui Tan Hung noted, investors now ask whether a site can access clean power, making the green transition a prerequisite for future FDI.
