Vietnam accelerates public investment and infrastructure projects

Vietnam is intensifying efforts to accelerate public investment disbursement and infrastructure development across several provinces. Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng recently chaired a meeting to address delays in key transportation projects and low disbursement rates.

In Ha Tinh, authorities are pushing to meet 100% of the government-assigned capital plan. A major project, the extension of Xo Viet Nghe Tinh road, has reached 50% of its contract value, with 321 billion VND completed despite challenges such as adverse weather and rising material costs. Land clearance for this project was finalized in June 2026.

In Lao Cai, the provincial government is focusing on power projects under the revised Power Development Plan VIII and implementing plans to attract approximately 247 million USD in foreign investment by 2030. Localities are also launching initiatives to build rural transport roads. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Construction has issued directives to improve management and rectify issues in various investment projects in Dak Lak and other provinces.
