Vietnam adopts nationwide supervision plans for social insurance and local police
The Vietnamese National Assembly’s Standing Committee approved a draft plan to monitor the implementation of social insurance policies from 2021 through 2026. The plan will oversee the Social Insurance Fund’s revenue and expenditure, address delayed or evaded contributions, and clarify responsibilities of government bodies, ministries, and local authorities. It will be applied nationwide and evaluated in two phases, covering the 2014 and 2024 Social Insurance Laws.
Separately, the Ministry of Public Security and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front issued a coordination plan for supervising and socially critiquing commune‑level police work for 2026‑2031. The plan targets the performance of grassroots police, their cooperation with local party committees, and the handling of public security issues, emphasizing citizen feedback, transparent reporting, and joint problem‑solving with community organizations.
