Vietnam advances administrative reform and digital tax management

Vietnam is focusing on reducing administrative procedures and accelerating digital transformation to support business growth and improve the investment environment. A recent seminar organized by the Vietnam Lawyers Association and the Life and Law Magazine addressed the need to remove barriers for enterprises, noting that transparent and streamlined processes reduce compliance costs and allow resources to be redirected toward production and innovation.

In the taxation sector, the shift toward digital management is enhancing convenience for both individuals and businesses. The implementation of tools like eTax Mobile allows taxpayers to manage land use taxes and registration fees remotely, reducing the need for physical paperwork and travel. For businesses, electronic tax filing and e-invoicing have optimized financial processes and lowered costs related to printing and storage. The General Department of Taxation aims to establish a smart tax management system by 2030, integrated into the national digital economy infrastructure using big data and modern technology.
