Vietnam advances major road upgrade projects in Bắc Ninh and Tây Ninh

The provincial government of Bắc Ninh has begun work on the upgrade and expansion of Provincial Road 293, a project approved on 30 Oct 2025 with a total investment of VND 1.799 trillion. Construction started on 31 Mar 2026, covering multiple segments and bridges, and is scheduled for completion and opening by the end of 2027. The upgraded road will be about 8.9 km long, widened to a 58.5‑metre cross‑section, and designed for speeds of 80 km/h, facilitating traffic flow and supporting new industrial zones in the province.

In Tây Ninh, the Tân Biên commune’s road‑building management board awarded a VND 2.6 billion contract to Toàn Thắng Lợi Company for the construction of Road 28‑1 (segment 4) after a competitive online tender. The winning bid saved approximately VND 73.9 million, a 2.76 % reduction against the original estimate. The contractor, headquartered in Tân Ninh, specializes in civil construction and has previously won 14 out of 29 bids in the region.
