Vietnam advances major urban development and land clearance projects

Major urban development projects are progressing in Vietnam, with significant investments and land clearance efforts underway in Quang Ngai and near Hanoi.

In Quang Ngai, the An Phu (Dao Ngoc) New Urban Area project is preparing for a groundbreaking ceremony, tentatively scheduled for late October or early November 2026. The project covers over 160 hectares with a total investment exceeding 9,700 billion VND. The development includes residential areas, villas, high-rise apartments, and social housing, alongside social infrastructure such as medical, educational, and commercial facilities. Investors are currently working with local authorities to accelerate compensation and site clearance, with approximately 10 hectares of clean land already available.

In the southern region of the capital, the My Hung – Cienco 5 New Urban Area project is moving forward with land compensation. More than 300 billion VND has recently been paid to 172 households in Quang Minh village to facilitate site clearance. The project, which has a total research scale of approximately 193 hectares, aims to create a modern, smart, and ecological urban model. Local authorities are focusing on resolving remaining obstacles to ensure the project can proceed according to plan.
