Vietnam agricultural sectors expand through aquaculture and new infrastructure

Agricultural and aquaculture developments are progressing across various regions in Vietnam. In Ha Tinh Province, authorities are prioritizing the rapid harvest of summer-autumn rice crops to mitigate potential damage from natural disasters. The province is also preparing for new regulations regarding electronic fishing logbooks (E-logbooks) for fishing vessels, with implementation phases beginning in late 2026 and early 2027.

Ha Tinh is further expanding its agricultural infrastructure, including the upcoming commencement of Vietnam’s largest 4F complex to promote organic farming, and a 1,760 billion VND project to complete the Linh Cam canal system to irrigate approximately 17,800 hectares. Additionally, local authorities are managing a foot-and-mouth disease outbreak in Thach Ha.

In Tuyen Quang Province, residents of Cao Bo Commune are leveraging cool climates and natural cold water sources to develop commercial sturgeon farming. The commune currently maintains 107 cold-water fish tanks with a total capacity of approximately 26,750 cubic meters. This shift toward high-value cold-water fish production is being promoted as a sustainable way to increase local incomes and integrate with tourism.
