Vietnam Airlines adds two Airbus aircraft to boost summer capacity

Vietnam Airlines will receive an Airbus A320 on 26 June and an Airbus A321 in July, expanding its fleet with about 23,000 additional seats per month for the summer peak. The new planes will serve high‑demand domestic routes such as Hanoi–Ho Chi Minh City and connections to Hue, Da Nang, Quy Nhon and Nha Trang, and support the airline’s plan to operate 28,300 domestic flights and provide roughly 5.5 million seats by mid‑August, a 5 % rise in flights and 3 % in seats year‑on‑year. In the same period, Vietravel Airlines introduced a brand‑new Airbus A321 to strengthen its operations and meet growing travel demand as the market recovers from recent Middle‑East tensions. Both moves reflect a broader push by Vietnamese carriers to increase capacity and improve service options during a period of strong summer travel demand.
