Vietnam Airlines Group launches 2027 Lunar New Year ticket sales

Vietnam Airlines Group, comprising Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, and Vasco, has launched its first round of ticket sales for the 2027 Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday. The group is offering nearly 3.7 million seats for the peak period spanning from January 22 to February 20, 2027.

This capacity represents an 11% increase compared to the 2026 Tet peak. On domestic routes, seat availability is expected to rise significantly, including a 15.4% increase between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and a 7% increase between Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang. Other domestic routes, such as those connecting Ho Chi Minh City to Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa, Vinh, and Hue, are projected to see increases between 6% and 13%.

In the international market, the group is increasing flight frequencies between Vietnam and destinations including Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and Singapore. Nguyen Quang Trung, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines, noted that travelers can find better flight options and pricing by choosing reverse-peak travel directions, which also allows families to combine holiday reunions with tourism.
