Vietnam and Bangladesh target US$2 billion trade goal

Vietnam and Bangladesh are working toward a bilateral trade target of US$2 billion. During a ceremony in Dhaka celebrating the 81st anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day, Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Manh Cuong highlighted the strong historical and cultural ties between the two nations.

Bilateral trade reached approximately $1.2 billion in 2025, with both countries aiming to increase this figure to $2 billion. Key areas identified for future cooperation include agriculture, logistics, technology, health, tourism, and investment. Additionally, discussions have focused on establishing direct air links to facilitate better connectivity.
