Vietnam and Cambodia inaugurate Khanh Binh - Chrey Thom international border gate

Vietnam and Cambodia have officially inaugurated the Khanh Binh - Chrey Thom international land border gate pair. The ceremony, held on October 3, was led by the Chairmen of An Giang Province (Vietnam) and Kandal Province (Cambodia).

This new gateway connects An Giang province to Kandal province and Phnom Penh, located approximately 75 km away. The upgrade is expected to facilitate easier movement for citizens and tourists while boosting import-export efficiency between the two nations.

Local authorities aim to leverage this connection to develop border economies, logistics, and trade. By integrating with regional transport networks and highways, the Khanh Binh international border gate is positioned to become a vital hub for transporting goods from the Mekong Delta into Cambodia and the broader ASEAN market.
