Vietnam and Greece strengthen subnational economic ties

Vietnam and Greece are strengthening subnational ties through new economic and cultural cooperation initiatives. A delegation from Vietnam’s Lang Son province, led by provincial Party Committee Secretary Hoang Quoc Khanh, recently met with the Greek business community in Athens to explore opportunities in trade, investment, agriculture, education, and culture.

The meeting, organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in Greece, aimed to connect Lang Son with Greek enterprises and associations, including the Greece-ASEAN Business Council. Additionally, the delegation held talks with authorities from the Greek city of Kalavryta to foster local-level connections. Vietnamese Ambassador Pham Thi Thu Huong noted that such economic diplomacy is a priority for the embassy to support the socio-economic development of Vietnamese localities and their international partners.
