Vietnam and Mongolia strengthen Comprehensive Partnership

Vietnam and Mongolia are strengthening their Comprehensive Partnership through high-level diplomatic engagements. Following the state visit by General Secretary and President To Lam in September 2024, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man is set to conduct an official visit to Mongolia at the invitation of Speaker Sandag Byambatsogt.

The visit aims to implement foreign policy orientations and deepen cooperation across various sectors, including politics, diplomacy, trade, investment, agriculture, defense, and culture. The parliamentary channel is expected to play a significant role in sustaining this bilateral relationship.

Economic ties have shown notable growth. In 2025, bilateral trade turnover reached over $155 million, with Vietnamese exports exceeding $100 million. Both nations continue to expand cooperation in agriculture, leveraging Mongolia’s livestock potential and Vietnam’s market needs.
