Vietnam approves major logistics and port infrastructure projects
The Ha Tinh Economic Zone Management Board has approved the Son Duong Logistics and Post-Port Service Center project. The project, led by Vinhomes Ha Tinh Industrial Park Investment JSC, involves a total investment of 39.6 trillion VND. Spanning approximately 472.63 hectares, the center aims to provide warehousing, container yards, and logistics services integrated with the Vung Ang Economic Zone and the Vung Ang - Son Duong seaport system. The facility is designed to handle an annual capacity of 50 million tons of cargo, with a 70-year operational term.
In a separate development, construction is progressing on the Cua Lo Deep-Water Port project in Nghe An province. The project includes a 32.83-hectare hinterland area divided into two phases. Current efforts involve land clearance, compensation for local households, and the procurement of construction materials from various local mines. Infrastructure work, including the installation of 35 kV power lines, substations, and concrete mixing plants, is underway to support the development of the port and its access facilities.
