Vietnam Approves Vinh Long Authority for CT‑33 Highway and Ho Chi Minh City Council for Ring Road 3 Super Interchange
The People’s Committee of Cần Thơ has proposed that the Vĩnh Long Provincial People’s Committee become the authority to research and implement the CT‑33 highway project under a public‑private partnership model. The 150‑km expressway will connect Ho Chi Minh City with Long An, Tiền Giang, Bến Tre, Trà Vinh and Sóc Trăng, aiming to improve regional connectivity, relieve traffic on existing routes, and support logistics and economic development in the Mekong Delta.
Separately, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has established a nine‑member council to evaluate architectural designs for a three‑level super interchange at the junction of Ring Road 3 and the Ho Chi Minh City–Long Thành–Dầu Giây highway, part of the Cat Lái–Phú Hữu port corridor. The council will select a design, oversee the competition process, and ensure the project proceeds with technical and security standards.
