The Vietnamese Government has issued Resolution 303/NQ-CP, setting specific targets for the development of social and rental housing across provinces for the 2026–2030 period. The national goal is to complete or exceed the construction of at least 1 million social and rental housing units for low-income earners and industrial zone workers by 2030.

Nationwide, the government has assigned a total target of 899,857 units, consisting of 708,834 social housing units for sale or lease-purchase, and 191,023 rental housing units. The resolution emphasizes rental housing as a strategic, long-term segment to ensure social security and market stability.

In Gia Lai province, the government has assigned a specific target of 8,041 units. This includes 1,941 units in 2026, 1,500 units annually from 2027 to 2029, and 1,600 units in 2030. Local authorities are required to integrate these targets into their annual socio-economic development plans and prioritize land funds and infrastructure for these projects.
