Hue City Police crack down on overloaded vehicles

Hue City Police have launched intensified patrols and inspections to crack down on overloaded and oversized vehicles. The initiative, directed by Colonel Nguyen Dinh Duong, aims to improve road safety and reduce structural damage to critical infrastructure, particularly along National Highway 1.

Authorities are focusing on vehicles that exceed weight limits, those with unauthorized modifications to cargo beds, and drivers violating transport regulations. Officials noted that heavy, overloaded vehicles contribute significantly to road deterioration, such as cracks and potholes, especially following heavy rainfall. During the initial phase of the crackdown, police identified numerous violations, including weight limit breaches and improper documentation.
