Vietnam authorities plan repairs for national heritage sites
Local authorities in Vietnam are initiating preservation efforts for several national historical and cultural monuments. In Hue, the Vy Da Ward People's Committee has submitted a proposal to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to repair the Tuy Ly Vuong worship temple. The site has suffered significant degradation, with some wooden components currently held in place by iron chains. The Hue Monuments Conservation Center has advised that repairs must prioritize preservation and reinforcement, with new components only being used if original parts lose their load-bearing capacity.
In Quang Ngai province, officials have approved a 50 billion VND project to renovate the Pham Van Dong Memorial Complex. The project will be implemented in two stages, focusing on repairing exhibition halls, memorial houses, offices, and the former residence of the late Prime Minister. The initiative aims to preserve historical artifacts and documents related to Pham Van Dong while promoting cultural tourism and patriotism.
