Vietnam aviation sector sees growth during National Day holiday

Vietnam's aviation sector experienced significant growth during the 2026 National Day holiday period. According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, total market transport reached 1.2 million passengers and 20,150 tons of cargo between August 29 and September 2, representing a 10.4% increase in passengers and a 1.5% increase in cargo compared to the same period in 2025.

International transport saw a 10.5% rise in passengers, totaling 670,700 travelers, while domestic transport increased by 10.2% to 527,200 passengers. The peak travel day occurred on August 29, with 280,000 passengers recorded across the market.

In a separate development, Vietnam Airlines has been named the official carrier for the Miss Vietnam 2026 pageant. The partnership includes career orientation and recruitment initiatives, offering contestants opportunities to join the airline's flight attendant crew through specialized recruitment policies and training incentives.
