Vietnam banks appoint new senior executives as part of growth and digital plans
In late May 2026 several Vietnamese banks announced changes to their senior management teams. KienlongBank named Vũ Ngọc Lan Châu as a new Vice President, adding to earlier appointments of Vũ Thị Phương and Phan Đức Kha to strengthen its financial ecosystem and digital competitiveness. Sacombank accepted the resignation of Vice President Vũ Minh Quân and confirmed earlier appointments of Lưu Danh Đức and Nguyễn Hoàng Hải, while also adding risk‑management director Nguyễn Thanh Hiệp to its executive board.
The Office of Credit (OCB) appointed Shayannasr Hamed as Vice President to boost governance and growth, following the departure of its former President Phạm Hồng Hải. Vietnam International Bank (VIB) reassigned Hồ Vân Long from the Vice President role to senior strategy director, citing a focus on long‑term strategic planning. Saigon – Hanoi Bank (SHB) relieved Đỗ Đức Hải of his Vice President duties for personal reasons. Eximbank disclosed a broader organisational restructuring for its 2026‑2030 development plan, with three vice presidents – Đào Hồng Châu, Nguyễn Hồ Hoàng Vũ and Nguyễn Hướng Minh – set to leave their posts between June and July.
These moves are presented as part of each bank’s effort to enhance governance, support digital transformation, and improve competitiveness in a tightening financial market.
