Vietnam celebrates National Day with flag-raising ceremonies

Vietnam celebrated its National Day on September 2 with major flag-raising ceremonies held at prominent locations. In Hanoi, thousands of people gathered at Ba Dinh Square starting from the early morning hours to witness the ceremony at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. At 5:50 AM, soldiers from Honor Guard Unit 275 prepared for the ritual, and the national flag was officially raised at 6:00 AM to the sound of the national anthem, “Tien quan ca.”

Simultaneously, a significant ceremony took place at the summit of Ba Den Mountain. Crowds of tourists and locals, many wearing red shirts with yellow stars, gathered at the mountain's plaza to participate in the ritual. Visitors engaged in various cultural activities following the ceremony, including visiting spiritual sites and participating in pottery exhibitions.
