Vietnam coffee prices rebound amid Robusta market recovery
Domestic coffee prices in Vietnam's Central Highlands have rebounded following two consecutive sessions of declines. As of October 11, 2026, prices in key regions such as Dak Lak, Gia Lai, and Dak Nong have risen to approximately 93,000 VND/kg, while Lam Dong remains slightly lower at 92,200 VND/kg.
On the international market, Robusta futures on the London exchange showed recovery, with the November 2026 contract increasing by 47 USD to 3,470 USD per ton. Conversely, Arabica prices on the New York exchange faced downward pressure, with the December 2026 contract decreasing to 286.95 US cents per pound.
Industry experts are also addressing the branding challenges facing Vietnamese coffee. Despite Vietnam producing nearly 40% of the world's Robusta supply, the country struggles with brand recognition and high reliance on raw material exports. Discussions at recent industry seminars emphasized the need for technological investment, product diversification, and creative culinary applications to move beyond being a mere supplier of raw materials and to increase the value of the Vietnamese coffee brand in global markets, including growing consumer interest in Canada.
