Vietnam commemorates 79th Veterans and Martyrs Day with ceremonies at Hoà Lò Prison and Quang Tri
On the 79th anniversary of Vietnam’s Veterans and Martyrs Day, nearly 50 staff and students from the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH) visited the historic Hoà Lò Prison. The group toured exhibition halls, viewed prison artifacts, and participated in a incense‑offering ceremony to honor past heroes and reflect on the values of independence, freedom and peace.
In Quang Trị province, a special outdoor artistic program titled “Thắp đỏ non sông – Nối dài khát vọng” was staged at Quảng trường Giải Phóng. The event featured performances by popular singers such as Noo Phước Thịnh and Trang Pháp, modern lighting and LED screens, and was supported by the Trung Nguyên Legend coffee group, which provided free coffee and gifts to veterans, families and visitors. Government officials and representatives from cultural, military and business sectors attended the ceremony, underscoring its national significance.
