Vietnam marks 81st anniversary of August Revolution and National Day

Vietnam is observing the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution and its upcoming National Day on September 2. The historical milestone, led by Ho Chi Minh and the Communist Party, marked the nation's transition from colonial rule to independence and the establishment of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in 1945.

Reflecting on this legacy, the country is currently focused on achieving long-term development goals for 2030 and 2045. This includes transitioning from a developing nation to a high-income economy through scientific innovation, technological mastery, and administrative reforms. Current efforts involve streamlining the political system and enhancing the business environment to foster a strong private sector.

In preparation for the celebrations, major cities like Hanoi have been decorated with flags, banners, and flowers to honor the nation's history and spirit of unity.
