Vietnam cuts gasoline price, E10 to 20,003 VND per litre

Effective 15:00 GMT+7 on 9 July 2026, Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade together with the Ministry of Finance reduced retail gasoline prices. E5 RON92 is set at 19,191 VND per litre (down 539 VND) and E10 RON95‑III at 20,003 VND per litre (down 412 VND). Diesel (0.05 S) rises to 21,745 VND per litre (+569 VND) and mazut falls to 13,735 VND per kg (‑318 VND). The ministries did not draw on the fuel‑price stabilization fund but maintained a small reserve for bio‑fuel and mazut.

The price adjustment reflects global market pressures: ongoing US‑Iran retaliation, attacks on oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, OPEC+ production increases from August, and the Russia‑Ukraine war affecting Russian refinery output and diesel exports. Vietnam’s new gasoline price is now lower than those in neighbouring Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and China.
