Vietnam Defense Ministry Reviews Reappointments of 14 Criminal Investigation Leaders

The Ministry of Defence in Hanoi convened a selection council on 16 June to examine the reappointment of 14 senior officials in the military Criminal Investigation Agency, including chief and deputy chief positions, as well as the promotion of additional investigators. Lieutenant General Nguyễn Văn Gấu chaired the meeting, directing that the council finalize paperwork for the first‑phase judicial appointments for 2026 and prepare the upcoming recruitment examinations for investigators across the armed forces.

In the same week, the Provincial Youth Union of Thái Nguyên Province held a conference on cadre work, nominating Phạm Thị Thu Hiền and Nguyễn Thị Hải Yến for senior roles in the national youth organization. The meeting also reviewed youth‑development activities for the first half of 2026, reporting support for 253 youth households with VND 15 billion in loans, career counseling for 37 people, and job placement for over 10,000 young people.

Both events reflect ongoing personnel reviews and youth‑support initiatives within Vietnam’s governmental and party structures.
