Vietnam Deputy Minister Lê Thị Thu Hằng outlines APEC‑Russia cooperation outlook to 2035

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Lê Thị Thu Hằng attended the discussion titled “Russia‑APEC: Prospects for broad cooperation to 2035” on 5 June. She highlighted the Asia‑Pacific region’s role as a driver of global growth and urged continued openness in trade, investment, digital innovation and green transition. The minister also underscored Vietnam’s commitment to preparing for its host year of APEC 2027, noting the country’s experience hosting the forum in 2006 and 2017 and its intention to work closely with China, the 2026 APEC chair, and other members.

The session examined how APEC can bolster multilateral trade, enhance supply‑chain resilience and support sustainable development across the region, with Vietnam positioning itself as a proactive partner in these efforts.
