Vietnam Deputy Political Chief Lê Quang Minh Leads 500‑Day Search for War Martyrs' Remains

Deputy Head of the Vietnam People's Army Political Department, Lieutenant General Lê Quang Minh, led inspection delegations to both Ho Chi Minh City’s Lê Thị Riêng park and Quảng Ngãi province. In Ho Chi Minh City, he reviewed the ongoing effort to locate and identify the remains of fallen soldiers, praised the forces’ dedication, and stressed the political and moral importance of the mission while urging strict safety and procedural standards.

In Quảng Ngãi, he visited the Martyrs Cemetery in Đăk Cấm, inspected trench‑digging and drilling along Trường Chinh road, and observed that Team K53 had excavated more than 3,200 m³ of soil and rock, recovering one set of remains for identification. He commended the troops’ perseverance, highlighted the duty to remember the sacrifices of past generations, and presented gifts to motivate continued work in the 500‑day, round‑the‑clock campaign to recover and identify war martyrs’ remains.
